The competition for the Mülheim Water Award 2024 will start this year.
The preparations are underway – soon it will start again!
Starting in December 2023, applications can be submitted for the MWA 2024 on the topic of
Innovations for sustainable safe
and secure drinking water supply
Applying for the Mülheim Water Award is simple: between December 2023 and February 2024 you will find an online application form for pre-qualification on our website. From the pool of submitted applications, the jury will identify the most promising candidates and will request further documents for the second application phase.
Individual and group applicants from all over Europe and Israel are permitted to apply with innovative procedures, products, concepts and new findings with a strong focus on practical use and application within drinking water supply and water analysis.
The prize to win in 2024 are 10.000€, donated in equal parts by the water supplier RWW Rheinisch-Westfälische Wasserwerksgesellschaft and GERSTEL GmbH & Co. KG, a producer of automated systems for instrumental chemical analysis. The Mülheim Water Award will again be coordinated by IWW Zentrum Wasser in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany.
The Mülheim Water Award will be presented for the ninth time in 2024. In eight previous competition rounds of the Mülheim Water Award, twelve projects have received awards and more than 170 applications from 25 different European countries were submitted. It’s worth it!
