The Mülheim Water Award 2026 begins

Applications for the MWA 2026 are now open. 

READY, SET, GO!

Here we go! Today marks the start of the pre-qualification phase for the Mülheim Water Award 2026, which comes with a prize of €10,000. For the tenth time, outstanding projects and innovations in water analysis and drinking water supply are being sought for the award theme „Innovations for a sustainable water sector and secure drinking water supply“.

Anyone wishing to participate in the anniversary edition of the MWA can simply submit their project using the online application form.

Applications from all over Europe and Israel are eligible; the geographical restriction applies to the company’s registered office. The implementation of the submitted project does not have to be limited to Europe.

Applications can be submitted until 28 February 2026.

The expert jury will then conduct its initial assessment and select the most promising projects for the second application phase.
