Applications for the MWA 2026 can still be submitted until the end of February 

Where is your project? Now is the time to get started!

Submitting an application for the Mülheim Water Award, which is endowed with 10,000 euros, is very straightforward. To pre-qualify, simply use the online application form on our website. You will need to provide a project description of no more than 2,500 characters and a brief explanation (max. 500 characters) of each of the five evaluation criteria: degree of innovation and relevance, transferability, quality, sustainability and economic efficiency. That’s all for now.

If you have an exciting project in the field of water analysis and drinking water supply that fits the award theme of “Innovations for a sustainable, safe and secure drinking water supply’, then apply now.

Applications from all over Europe and Israel are eligible; the geographical restriction applies to the company’s registered office. The implementation of the submitted project does not have to be limited to Europe.

Applications can be submitted until 28 February 2026.

The expert jury will then conduct its initial assessment and select the most promising projects for the second application phase.
