avia-builder-el-last '><span class='hr-inner '><span class=\"hr-inner-style\"><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p>The M\u00fclheim Water Award was presented for the ninth time with a winning project from Flanders that developed a system that enables the digital monitoring of water quality throughout Flanders in real time.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00fclheim&#8217;s Lord Mayor and patron Marc Buchholz presented the award at the M\u00fclheim Water Analysis Seminar on the 10. September. The winners were awarded \u20ac10,000\u20ac, sponsored by RWW mbH and GERSTEL GmbH &amp; Co. KG.<\/p>\n<p>The project titled<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Internet of Water Flanders: from water quality sensing to action<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>involves a network of around 300 water quality sensors at more than 220 locations throughout Flanders. The data is collected on an IoT (Internet of Things) data platform. Both, real-time and historical data are publicly accessible via the website www.waterinfo.be. The platform offers a combination of physical measurements, such as temperature or pH value, and water quality data. One positive aspect is that data from various interest groups such as water suppliers, wastewater disposal companies, authorities, ministries, and research institutions is brought together.
